As a result the FI light on the dash is constantly lit, Cobra Fi2000 is in transit as I type this which will hopefully resolve the issue (apparently pulling pin 23 (black with green stripe) from the ecu will also fix this but I'm not that desperate yet). Very happy with the pipes otherwise. easy to install (had to remove footboards and one piece of fairing as I don't have little hands) Sound and look amazing!!!! (5 stars) reviewed on 04/20/09 bySONNY VENSEL (pvensel) from , , United States, for a 0 C50 Boulevard wrote: The pipes have an excellent chrome finish and the slashdown tips are much sweeter than I expected the tips to be. The clamps are tricky to work with during the install. Make sure when you tighten the exhaust bolts to the engine cylinder head you must be sure to TORQUE at 14 lb-ft.. These torque specs are for the 2006 Suzuki Boulevard C50, and this information was provided by Mototech Cycle Shop. These specs are true. It took about 1hr 30 minutes to install. Be sure to purchase 2 new exhaust gaskets, because the gaskets do not come with the exhaust. I bought my gaskets from a Suzuki Dealer and the cost was around $10.00 piece. After you install the new pipes, be sure to wipe all hand prints off the chrome before you start your engine to hear the sound. You can discolor your pipes if you don't wipe them down before starting..I hope my review helped. If you have a Suzuki Boulevard, check out my member page and browse around. (5 stars) reviewed on 09/16/08 byJesse Easter (easterjl) from Seoul, Korea, , Asia, for a 2007 Red/Black C50 Boulevard wrote: These pipes are loud but not obnoxious. I recommend riding with earplugs on longer rides. It might be useful to have some extra earplugs on-hand if you might pick up a passenger, as riding on back may be a bit uncomfortable due to noise. The picture accompanying the item on this web page does not match the actual pipes. The picture shows pipes with the end cross-section perpendicular to the ground. In actuality, the ends are a well-fitted slash, accomplished through the addition of included tips. I noticed more pickup after I put them on, but I suspect the bike will run better after I change the aircleaner and apply a tuner (most likely the one Cobra makes). I was surprised at how easy these pipes were to install. It was more work to remove the stock pipes, and that wasn't very hard, either. Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. (3 stars) reviewed on 07/27/08 byEd Otto (ottoe) from carlisle, PA, for a 2009 C50 Boulevard wrote: Look nice, but too loud. The Cobra catalog shows they had an optional Quiet Core Baffle for these pipes and that was the basis of my decision. THe pipes are too loud with the stock baffle. I tried to order the quiet core baffle from my dealer, and they are on an endless cycle of 2 week backorders. Cobra direct states there are no Quiet Core Baffles for these pipes, but that isn't what their catalog states. I gave up on ordering them and wrapped the current cores with fiberglass. that toned them down just enought. loud, but not anoying. Review Details 5 out of 5 members found this review helpful. I don't think their too loud, but the Vespa group that I ride with won't even let me ride sweep anymore. Seroiusly the sound is great considering the bike is only an 800cc. For the install follow the instructions if you have floorboards just loosen the bolts and lower the floorboard to get the heat shields on. Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Heatshield installation wasn't all that easy. had to remove the driver floorboard so the heatshield wouldn't get scratched. hose clamps to attach the heat shields were a pain. other than the heatshield issues, the installation is not that difficult. A little louder than I wanted, but nicer sound than stock. Review Details 5 out of 5 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
