(3 stars) reviewed on 11/27/12 byDave Chappell (Shutterbug78) from , , for a 0 1300 VTX1300C wrote: Fairly Easy install and looks great. The only issue was that the screw provided for the third hole (not part of the brake like) was too small for the hole in the bike. For me, that brought the score down to three stars. Put new pipes on the bike and needed somethng to cover uup the swing arm... the last screw hole is not threaded on the bike so I only put 2 screws in and behind the last hole I out a clear rubber bumper to take up the slack between the arm and the xover... works fine and looks OK Review Details Was this review helpful to you? However I could not get the third bolt to thread tworward the back of the bike so only two of the bolts are holding it in place. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(3 stars) reviewed on 12/22/06 byBill (my2006vtx) from Blacksburg, VA, United States, for a 2006 1300 VTX1300C wrote: Good piece. Doesn't show very well though. Mostly hidden behind the K2's. They need to do something about the back screw. Like others have posted, the last screw hole on the bike is not threaded so the screw won't work. I used some double back tape and also used plumbers tape around the screw and tapped the screw into the hole. Then clamped the piece to the swing arm over night. Seems to be holding so far. Bend, turn, reposition to get in the tight space (probably easier with pipes off). Bolt next to frame is tough to get to with allen wrench. But is a nice addition. Mo'chrome!
