The seat and backrest are great, the seat's firm but I understand it will break in over time. The backrest is unbelievably comfortable, it's going to be great especially on long trips. The seat was a bit of a hassle to install as the bolt holes did not line up very well. With some help and some grunting we got the thing bolted on. Overall the seat and backrest were expensive but I could not stand the stock seat any longer and I didn't want the Mustang seat that pushes you up and forward on the bike. Overall I'm very happy with the seat.

I got a great deal on this bad boy from a fellow Aero forum member. It looks great and rides just fine. The only problem as mentioned in the past is that it can be a first rate PITA to install. The bolt holes don't quite line up and you wonder if you're gonna strip a damn bolt! Practice makes the difference and I can get it on without too much cussin'!

Wow, what a great looking and comfortable seat. Install is easier than some have said...I noticedas others had that the mounting holes were not quite in the right place. I started the bolt on the drive shaft side then pushed against the seat (lineman style on the drive shaft side) , then while pushing toard the other side I used a screw driver to line up the holes. It was easy and fast.

Just installed it this weekend (2/27/05) and haven't ridden enough yet to say either way. It looks a lot nice than stock.

I have one of the newer classic solos with Corbin's new leather covering. The leather is completely different. It's no longer the smooth and shiny leather. It's more of a textured and thicker leather. The appearance is also more flat, less shiny. All these things are both good and bad. I'm sure I'll get used to the new look. (I also have a Corbin DT with the older style leather.) There's nothing I can add to this review about comfort and quality that hasn't been said a million times already,

Love It. The only thing I don't like is you can't get seat rail for it.

Best seat in the world! I road up to Corbin in Hollister, CA and had it made with some custom stitching. It is by far the most comfortable thing I have ever ridin on. The price is for the seat, passenger pillion, and the large oval backrest.

SEAT LOOKS GREAT ON MY AERO. IT IS A VERY HARD SEAT BUT COMFORTABLE. THEY SAY IT ONLY GETS MORE COMFORTABLE AS YOU SIT ON IT AND BREAK IT IN. IT IS MUCH HEAVIER THAN THE STOCK SEAT BUT BETTER QUALITY TOO. VERY PRICEY. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR THO.

I bought this seat after a long ride, because the original seat did not support well. After the 'break in' period (it took a few rides to get used to the harder seat) I would not change this for the world. Long rides no longer hurt my keester. A bit trickey to install (had to ream out some bolt holes) but worth every second and penny.

Nice looking and comfortable. Seems to showing signs of wear only after a short time along the seams where the sides meet the top piece under your leggs. Other than that, very nice.

Looks great on the bike. I got the black faux ostrich. I will say this, however, for $300, Corbin needs to re-think their machining of the seat holes. Good grief, what a pain!

I'm finally free of the stock seat torture device!!!! But a word of caution...while Corbin makes a really stylin' seat, the hassle you will endure might make you look elsewhere. I was dead set against the Mustang because I didn't want to be moved any closer to the handlebars than I already was. Also, I wanted to mount Road King Classic bags on the bike, which because of their size, won't mount up with the wider stock seat, so I needed the slim profile of a Corbin. First, the seat took 8 weeks to arrive from the time I ordered it (not the 3-4 weeks I was promised). When it finally arrived, the material quality was excellent, but the fit was horrendous. The mounting holes were off by a lot, but worse, the seat interferred with my STOCK Hondaline saddlebag brackets. So much so, that I had to send the seat back to Corbin to get them to shave the sides of the seat pan down to accomodate the forward bolt of the bracket. 3 weeks later, the seat came back, and I had to dremmel the mounting ho...
