(5 stars) reviewed on 09/17/05 byDucky (VTXaholic) from Northumberland, PA, United States, for a 2005 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: just got these installed and am looking forward to my first ride with them. VTX Retro owners if you buy this and want to place it on your floorboard as it is shown in the photo or anywhere forward of that position know that it will involve grinding down the lug on the front of the floorboard to achieve adequate placement of the bracket. Also you will need to drill a hole for placing the last (and most important) bolt. The entire process took a bench grinder and a buddy and I about 1 1/2 to 2 hours to do the entire install. Also we found that if you drill as many holes into the lug before grinding it made the time on the bench grinder alot quicker. Review Details 5 out of 6 members found this review helpful. (3 stars) reviewed on 01/04/05 byvern (cantex) from katy, TX, United States, for a 2004 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: very good quality, took a few attempts to find the right spot 1i yr later. i have removed these and gone with the kuryakyn. the reason is i ride long distances ( 600 miles/day) and found these didnt get my legs up high enough. also, your heel will not fit into the heel cup, i rested my heel on the indentation on the top of heel cup. i have had to change my opinion that i would not buy it again Review Details 5 out of 5 members found this review helpful.
