If you want something that looks sexy, don't buy this pad. I will need to remove the pad each time I use my tail bag as the pad intrudes into the bag and takes up valuable luggage space. I suspect that frequent removal of the pad will result in the screw holes in the plywood backing becoming reamed and will not hold the pad securely to the bar. using thicker gauge screws will work up to a point but eventually an alternative fixing method will be required. I am contemplating the use of plasterboard cavity fasteners being permanently fixed to the pad and the use of slim bolts through the bar in place of the self tapping screws.
