The pad is generous and has a ziper at the bottom if you ever want to replace the foam pad. The foam is sealed in plastic I assume to prevent soaking up rain. Total installation time is about 10 minutes. I have had this over a month now and it provides great lower back support. The forward/backward adjustment screws give a bit on big bumps.
