I had a little trouble mounting as I have the solo seat and chrome seat ring. The holes are alined for the stock seat. I had to drill new holes in the mount. And your are saying huh, the black is a very flat black that will not shine even a little bit with saddle soap. Okay, with that being said, the install was very simple. Now about the two rubber bumpers........... On a 2007 Vstar Yamaha 650 It will take 4 of the larger (or should I say thicker) bumpers. I received 2, so I made do with 2. One was used center front the other was used center back of the seat. I cut the hole plugs on the two replaced with the thick bumpers. Then super glued the two flat strips on the two side bumper at the back of the passenger seat. The passenger seat sets upright now, with out rocking from side to side.
