Handles different. For me it made the bike bigger by making the shield look smaller. I don't have long arms @ 5'8 but it gave me just enough room to sit all the way back on the seat. (Update) They work great. After a year of use one looks brand new while the other pitted and pealed apart and looks like crap. I need to order a new set to make my bike look good again. Since installing these I can ride all day with no discomfort. The install was OK, I did have a bit of trouble with one of my old risers being rusted in place.
