This cover really dresses up the bare side of the bike. Big differnce over the stock black part of the engine. Chrome is always a good thing, and this peice gives you plenty of it. Easy install as well

When this came in the mail today it came with some other chrome covers I purchased that were plastic and I was already ticked off. Fortunately, this was REAL metal chrome plated. The instruction pictures stunk bad so don't count on that for much help. I had to bend the slide tabs back in order to fit it on the engine but they bent easy. This cover is definitely worth the price in my book.

Easy install and is worth the money. It completes the left of the bike hiding the frame and adding length to the motor.

Had to modify the bracket like others here have said, but it wasn't difficult. Wish they could have found a different way to mount it other than those 2 big bolts right on the side.

Adds a nice touch to the dull side of the bike. REquired the removal of the side engine cover, but that was a piece of cake.

Looks great and is worth the minor hassle in fitting. there is a back bracket clamp thing that has to be positioned just right in order for the two screws that hold it on to line up. i also had to bend the bracket a little to get it in place. Just know going in that it will be worth the effort, don't get in a hurry and you will be fine. A little pricey, but makes a great look more chrome is good. Had mine a year so far no rust, and yes i ride in the rain.

This part made a huge difference in the overall appearance of the left side. After reading all the other comments, installation was a breeze. As far as value is concerned…hum…..it's a bit pricy.

When installing this part, make sure to take off the front side cover first. If you do that the installation will be a breeze, Don,t forget to take off the washers that are behind the retainer clips on the front engine cover, they stick..They also help hold the side engine cover on tight. You may have to bend the steel legs a little on the mounting bracket, but it does help get everything straight in the end. Make sure to dry mount everything back befor you tighten it down, it may need to be adjusted a little, after it lines up to your satifaction get it tight..you may even want to use a little loc tight to keep it from vibraiting loose. Then just assemble everything back the way that you removed it. Buy the way the photo does not look exactly the way the finished part assembled does, the photo does not include the 2 hex head nuts that are used to hold the part on with. That only makes a small difference, but enough to mention.

Went on pretty easily after removing left engine side cover. Elongated the slots for the actual mounting by about 1/4 inch which allowed a little closer fit to the engine side cover. I liked the use of ny-lock nuts . It does make the engine look longer. Very nice chrome finish.
