There should be absolutely no problems with bending or breaking. Short design allows easy mounting and dismounting of your scooter. Tall enough to keep any passenger's butt from sliding off the back. Small diameter screws hold the pad onto the bar. The screws provided are quality material but I question if they have enough grip to the wood base of the pad. If not, the pad can be easily replaced.
