I got the new model ones with the solid rubber tops.And diffrent engraving on them that looks nicer when flipped up. A slightly modified design of the originals for slightly more cost. (4 stars) reviewed on 06/23/03 by John Hummel (Hummel00) from Bracebridge, ON, Canada, for a 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: We have the deluxe model of these floorboards.They are a very easy install.Only one screw needed(plus BLUE Loctite)for install.These foorboards flip up to show a chrome underside when not in use(without saddlebags).Unfortunately,we have Leatherlyke Cross Country saddlebags which won't allow the floorboards to be flipped up when not in use.The saddlebags can be removed easily, so this can be accomplished.
