I'm in very bad need of a backrest that matches my bike and actually works. 30% compression in my spine causes a lot of pain without my back being supported. I'm hopeful that  Part Number: CWI-02-1721 will do the job.

Is there any way to get that price down further? As badly as I need it and want it, I simply cannot afford that price.

Thanks for the WeRev info. I took a look at it, but I don't believe it will help. The damage to my back is a 30% compression and two internal spurs that are located just below the shoulder blades. The handlebars are OK, but the forward torque is what causes the issue. I find myself slumping as a result. The support needs to be just below the shoulder blades so that forward torque forces my back from that point upward to a rearward effect, thus keeping me straight up. The CWI-02-1721 model seems to be my best advantage for the forward and backwards adjustment ability. I'm still questioning the height adjustment feature, but if I ever get this back rest I'll find out. It also seems to best fit the bike for appearance.

John, I too have a bad back and I dont use a back rest. I have readjusted my posture on the bike by bringing the controls back more to me and also use a gel seat. Of course a back rest will help as well and maybe one day I will look into this as well.

As far as price is concerned, CC will price match if you find it cheaper elsewhere but also look at the WeRev back rests
