Skulls and Crosses.
Here is something to ponder and give your opinion on. As part of the biker community we see tons of bikers and biker gear with demonic symbols. I personally like the skull and cross bones, grim reaper and such. I don’t like to look at it as demonic but more of a symbol of mortality or living. The skull is victory of death over life. Or infers that the wearer has made some effort to overcome our culture of fear. The reaper is a symbol of harvest. Kind of like the 8 ball. (Another popular symbol) When you are behind the 8 ball in pool you have no where else to go. Scratch and the game is over or give it your best shot and maybe you will win the game. I guess I kind of see the biker as the rebel not the bad guy but kind of the hero in the crowed the one that stands out from the rest, the force to be reckoned with. Bikers look different. They like black (most do) wear leather. (Tuff guy stuff) Of coarse we know it is because leather is a great material to put between the pavement and elements and you. Bikers are the ones that stand up for them selves and others when in need. More bikers will pull over to help someone than other groups of people.
What I am looking for hear is do you see these things as bad things or good things. How do you perceive the emblems of our biker community? I see many bikes with the biker bell (another symbol) supposed to ward off bad gremlins, give you lady luck etc. Just wonder if I am putting a bad impression out or a good one.
