Definitele NOT waterproof. You will need the included rain cover in the event of rainfall. The hook and loop closure, plus the included straps give you a number of options for attaching the bag to your bike, though I still have to figure out how the rain cover fits over the bags when they are attached to the backrest. Plan on getting the rest of the bags in this series. Already purchased the garment bag. Need to get another main bag and the commuter case for the laptop. ?California here I come!?
