Barring my small top case, this is undoubtedly the most useful piece of luggage I have. I no longer need to crane my neck over the tank bag to peek at the instruments panel; I no longer need the tank mounted saddle bags, which create so much aerodynamic drag. This tail bag truly is expandable, as are the matching Onyx rear saddle bags--and together they provide more than enough cargo space for even an extended journey.
I have nothing but praise for every aspect of these items. Design is brilliant, quality superb, and the price unbeatable.
The tail bag attaches very securely to either the rear seat (using the quick-release buckle) or to the bike frame with the bungee cords, or both.
The bag is unobstrusive to the rider, actually providing a comfortable back rest when it's full. It causes no noticeable drag or turbulence even at high speeds, even when fully expanded to its maximum height (though I think expanding the side pockets to their full capacity might create some wind resistan...
