rocket (rockettheroy) from coppull, chorley..uk, for a black/red 1999 classic Vulcan 1500 Classic wrote: nice piece of kit....i got a 6 bhp gain with this goodie....but beware it wont be a straight from the box gain......the charger goes together a treat use a little grease on the rubber parts or you will be scrapping with the dam thing for hours,,i set up the jetting with the instructions but couldnt get the bike to tick over for longer than 30 sec without it flooding the plugs out with fuel and then stalling out..i finally changed the slow jet back to stock and hey presto it ticks over (idles)for ever now ..the needle was set as per instructions..the mainjets in the kit were swapped and changed untill it throttled up clean and consistant and the plug colour was correct(i used the biggest jet as the bike is running vance/hines short shots) i got it put on the dyno to check out the fueling and it was ok and had a 6 bhp gain which ant bad on a standard mill she sounds awsome and goes like stink.... It looks awesome, but took a little getting used to because it bumps into your right leg as it sticks out significantly further than the stock air filter housing.
