I am pretty sure that if I ever laid it over going more than 20 mph, they'd just fold over my feet and pin me to the bike, but until then they add a lot to the looks. At just under six foot, they're too short for me to rest my feet on so I have to go over the top of them which takes some flexibility. The screw above our radiator that keeps the bars on seems a little week, and is a pain during installation, but I haven't had any problems in the last two years. Added that extra touch that I was looking for. Went for a long ride today and was able to put feet up and use it. Helped getting a different position to relieve the stress of the "pegs".
