The Ultimate in ride quality, The Inertia Active System (I.A.S.) 44 Twin Shocks are the most state-of-the-art shocks available to the public. The 440 Series I.A.S. shock is able to separate chassis movement from wheel movement. What you get is a shock that is able to float over the rough stuff, yet won't wallow in the twists and turns. They are absolutely the best shock available when it comes to todays's high torque shaft-drive motorcycles. I.A.S was developed for automotive use by Edelbrock using Ricor technology. Now refined by Progressive Suspension for motorcycle use. These 440 shocks are the only shocks to offer this level of performance. Just installed these yesterday. Installation was smooth, but unless you have a MC jack, be sure you have a strong helper. When you remove the old shock, the seat will drop about an inch, and you'll need to lift it to line up the holes.
I'm about 250lbs, so I got the heavy-duty springs. Even on the softest setting, those springs are pretty stiff. But when I added my teanage son (also a big guy) I was very pleased with riding two-up.
So depending on your size and how much you have a passenger, think twice about the heavy-duty springs.

Just picked these up and will be installing tomorrow. I am a big guy so I have the Heavy duty springs. Really hope this helps the ride. Will report back.
UPDATE: Got these on today and set the initial pre-load at #3. Had trouble turning by hand so I used the small Craftsman rubber strap type oil filter wrench that I use for the oil filter to adjust, worked great and went into the saddle bag for further adjustments. I set out for a little trip down 30 miles of the roughest road around. Got there and almost had to crawl off the bike. Either that road has gotten a lot rougher over the winter or these shocks suck. I readjusted the shocks (glad I put that oil flter wrench in the saddle bag) to the softest setting and headed home. To my delight and suprise it was a whole new deal. It was a whole new bike. Make sure if you get a set of these that you try the different pre-load settings. Progressive says that if you weigh over 200 lbs or take a passenger over 50% of the time you should get th...
