I wore these gloves for the FirstGear Adventure ride in Colorado last month. I must say that they are warm - very warm - and they kept my hands dry in rain an hail at the top of Independence Pass. The palm slider was a little strange at first, but it does not contact the bar and the safety it provides is great. The only drawback was the "missing" finger squeege. All else - Great Glove!
