New Spider Lights are compact L.E.D. lights you can use to highlight virtually any part of your motorcycle. The Spider Light's advantage over other L.E.D. light designs is bi-directionally aimed L.E.D.s The L.E.D.s are positioned to shine both parallel and perpendicular to the surface the Spider Light is mounted. This unique design allows almost full 180 degree hemispherical illumination and results in a more complete "halo" effect from each light.
The switch assembly included in the Spider Light Starter Kit has three positions: off, on, and flash. The "on" position lights all the Spider Lights in the circuit to shroud your bike in a steady glow. The "flash" provides a stunning, strobe-like effect. The switch also incorporates a small rheostat that allows you to vary the rate at ...

My fascination with the color blue along with my love of shiny objects led me to volunteer for the installation of a set of spider lights onto our Store Shadow 750. I was hesitant to undertake the task because of my lack of mechanical and electrical skills. My skills on such matters rank somewhere between those of single celled amoebas and a brain dead chimp who smokes crack. Although I must admit that the chimp probably has better dexterity than I do.
After the initial intimidation to install the lights wore off, I opened up the package. The hardware was amazingly simple. It turned out there was nothing to splice. Simply hook the light connectors to the battery, and plug the lights in. Once the lights were plugged in, simply flip the switch on and the lights were glow a beautiful blue. Once all the lights are all working, lay out the lights and place them over the area you wish to illuminate (including a location for your self adhesive switch box). When you are happy with the set up of the lights, mark the places you have picked for the lights with some masking tape. Once you have marked a spot for each light, you are ready to mount them. Each light has an adhesive strip on its back, remove the strip, and mount the light onto your bike at the spot marked with masking tape. Your spider lights are installed. Voila, that's it. You're done. Your bike should be looking pretty sweet right now. Should you wish to add more lights, plug in extensions are available that plug into the end of your light strand, using the same switch box. Despite the fact that installation was so straight forward, I still managed to find a way to screw it up. Each light strand has a red and black wire, one on each side running the length of the wire from the battery to the end of the lights. Make sure that you connect red to red and black to black. It took me 4 fuses to realize what I was doing wrong.
