peter whitmore (PeterWhit) from melbourne, for a 2003 Vulcan 1600 Classic wrote: The shifter unit had to be packed out with 4 washers where it bolted onto the frame otherwise it jammed. Reason was the part that slides onto the gear shaft was too wide even though I had it pushed on as far as it would go. They look nice but the test will be how well they stand up to every day riding. I'm 6'5" and I wish these pegs were 3 inches forward and 1 down, maybe even more than that. Right away I was looking for other peg options but Jardine doesn't offer any. Still unsure if other manufacturer's pegs will work. No way to try before you buy. On the highway I just kick the leg over the peg and rest the back of my leg on them. (Yes my ankles are beyond the pegs by a good 6-8 inches.) Guys 6' to 6'2" have sat on my bike and it looked perfect for them, ergonomically.
