CruiserCustomizing Staff Pick:

Overall Rating: (5).
Reviewed on 09/29/05 by CruiserCustomizing Staff: Beth (Betharoonieandcheese) from Fremont, CA for a 1972 Schwinn, 1972 Suz T500, 2001Suz SV650 Other Make/Model:

I installed this seat on the Showroom 750 Aero with Kenny (BearKiller). The directions were very clear, and pretty unnecessary. You pull off your stock seat, and install this one. Remove bolts, change seat, replace botls. Pretty simple. I would recommend going against the directions on one point: install the driver's seat first, then intstall the passenger pillion. Just be careful not to scratch the paint. The directions suggest hooking the two parts of the seat together and then installing. Boooo. Hisssss! LAME! Sucks. Also, the fiberglass plate on the bottom of the seat was slightly off on the seat we installed. Either that or the brackets that anchor the seat were a little off. We kept getting the seat close to lining up, but it was always just off enough to keep the bolt from wanting to go it the bracket. Anywho, Kenny had the good idea of sticking a wrench in the mount to line up the seat with the frame before putting the bolt in. Easy as pie after that. As for comfort, I can't really help you out on that part... don't really ride the showroom bike. What I can say is that the backrest makes a HUGE difference. Feels much more comfortable than the stock seat just sitting on the bike. When you're riding, it'll probably take the pressure off your sholders and arms and allow you to kick back and cruise your way down the highway. Enjoy.

Got the solo version of this (wasn't listed here). It is a great looking and comfy seat, but will ride totally different than the stock seat. It puts you and inch or so higher and positions you differently, so the top of your shield ends up being a bit lower to you than before. The backrest is a must and is very comfy!

OH man what a seat. great for long rides. My back does not get ill. If you can pick up a 10mm wrench, your job is almost done. Looks great ,fits as well as factory. Unbeleavable comfort !
