This jacket is awesome for late Spring - early Fall riding, wouldn't recommend as main jacket once it gets cold. I got it this past summer when it just got too hot for my leather jacket and it worked out perfectly. I pulled out both the quilted and rain liner, threw the the rain liner in a saddle bag and was both cool and dry all summer. Once it started cooling down, I put both of the liners back in and the jacket kept me warm until the temps started dropping below about 45. After that, it was back to my old leather jacket.

I've had this jacket for about 2 years. Although it does all it says it'll do, the way it goes about it is a little sketchy. I don't like to stop when I ride, but in order to change the function of the jacket you must! I'd have rather had the rain shield on the outside of the jacket. As it is you must get the jacket soaked, including the pockets, before the rain layer kicks in. And when the rain stops, you can't just ventilate, you must again stop to remove it. Same goes for the insulated layer. That has to be used with the rain layer, so again, just to ventilate you gotta stop & peel, unsnap, unzip, & pack it all away, etc. I ride in the rain, in the winter, here on the Monterey Bay, & the jacket IS warm & DRY, but difficult to use. I had actually purchased a different model, & returned it for this jacket in their store, & had very good experience with the staff. I also agree with the review about the collars on both the liners, scratchy.
