(5 stars) reviewed on 11/04/10 byAdam (spacemonkey69) from Wyndham Vale, , Asia, for a Custom Harley Deuce and 06 Roadstar 1600 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: Very easy to install, took only about 30 mins with basic tools. Didn't really believe how much of a change there would be in the feel of the bike. Increased rev limit is great, lets the motor work, and the midrange grunt is quite amazing. Definitely need to do this with air cleaner and rejet, as on stock carb and cleaner you can feel the motor struggle to breath. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(3 stars) reviewed on 03/16/10 byMike Ball (mikethebear) from Glendale, CA, United States, for a 2001 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: The best part is that it raises the rev limit from 4400 to 5000 rpm, which the stock bike can handle, and puts you in the meat of the power band on the next upshift. The down side is that there's a wee bit too much advance for a stock Road Star. On a hot day the bike is reluctant to restart after it's been ridden a bit. This is a must, though, if you put in hotter cams. No substantial gain for a stocker, though. I removed it and went back to the stock module. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Midrange power band is more controled through out the RPMs. For stock engines, you might not find alot more power, but you will max what's available. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? (5 stars) reviewed on 05/08/09 byRBA (midnghtstar) from Mililani, HI, United States, for a 2007 black 1600/1700 Road Star wrote: Purchased this ignition module back in March. The instructions are VERY easy to follow.I set mine to 5000/34A. The retard mode is there if you are using a turbo charger or nitrous. So you won't have to set that. It pretty much can set itself. When you do install it don't set it higher than 5000 rpm.A stock valve train may FAIL!This module is the bomb. It makes that 102cid sing. You can keep up with the Star Raiders. If you got questions on this part call Dynatek @ (800)928-3962 or check it out www.dynaonline.com You won't be disappointed...ROADSTAR RULES!! Just installed it and have to check it out. ...Well I've been riding for a week now and the 3000 does make a significant differance to the performance of my bike. My wife say's it a good thing she has a back rest (LOL). I have it set at 5000 rpm and @34A. I have not had any problems at all (minor adj. to idle). Works well with the Baron BAK & Cobra Pipes . As reviewed by others you should cut out battery box for access to dip switches if you need to adjust. My cut out is large enough to access dip switches easly but I can not see the settings chart, My memorie is not the greatest so I copied the chart and put it in my tool chest. If you follow the directions install is not that difficult, took about 1.25 hours. Once you have this done you may want to consider the Barnett clutch Spring as well. This item is well worth the investment!!!!! Review Details 8 out of 8 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
