(3 stars) reviewed on 09/25/10 bySharpe (SharpeSGL) from , , for a 0 1100 Shadow Spirit wrote: I think this gave me a little more HP, but that was a deployment and a few years ago. I also put on Vance & Hines and a K&N filter. I did lose about 25 miles/tank of gas, but I hear that's common. I'm looking at possibly getting a new intake system or hypercharger to get max possible performance. Also, I tried doing this one myself, and was almost all the way through taking my bike apart when I stripped a screw. I had to ride it into the shop sick, and let the professionals do it. My shop wanted $1000.00 for installing the jet kit and pipes. I saved half the cost by doing it myself. Just be patient. The EGA results were dead on. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? (5 stars) reviewed on 07/26/08 byKeith (coffeemug) from Arlington, WA, United States, for a Street Glide 2009 1100 Shadow Spirit wrote: I bought this because I installed the Vance & Hines classics exhaust system. I didn't think I had to rejet at first because it ran fine. But decided to rejet anyway. I notice I have more power on take off and no popping at 3 turns out. Rejetting was easy, just getting the carb. out was the work, however not hard if you take your time and have a service manual handy. I find taking pictures along the way can help you figure how something goes back in. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

Mechanic put a #180 jet in the front and #178 jet in the back carb seems to run much smoother in all gears now, no more popping good power. I have the Vance and hines pipes on. don't no if I lost mileage yet tell next week will see. Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

(4 stars) reviewed on 03/21/08 byDave (enived3) from Eldon, MO, United States, for a 2004 1100 Shadow Spirit wrote: Got this when I got the new pipes. With the pipes I got the kit said to use the 175 main jet. However there is still some popping on decel. I read a post somewhere that somebody else with the same pipes put their bike on a dyno and used the 180 main jet and it is running great. I will probably change to the 180. Install wasn't too bad. Hardest part is getting the carbs off the bike. The left choke cable is a pain in the arse. You will need the service manual for this mod. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
