If you change your exhaust system and Air filter....then you have to get the PowerCommander to properly tune your bike. Works great....

Not as easy to install as it sounds. The seat and tank both need to come off on my bike. After that everything gets easy. I installed this with Vance and Hines pipes on my VTX 1800c and took it to a Dyno to get the job done right. The settings from Dyna Jet were okay with plenty of power, but the air to fuel ratio were too high. I mounted the controller where the owners manual goes behind the left side cover for easy access.

Took me an hour to install. Had to lift the tank to remove airbox to gain access to the injectors. Otherwise happy with product. After a couple hundred miles I decided to try a different map. Went from the M122-031 to the leaner M122-030. Smoother throttle response, and hopefully better fuel mileage. Factory was about 42 mpg. (Including Vance and Hines Bigshots) 031 map was 30 mpg. Will update when I find out mileage with the 030 map.

I installed the V&H Big Shots before receiving the Power Commander. The bike ran OK but there was some lunging in 2nd and third gear when decelerating and quite a bit of popping. After the Power Commander was installed everything is very smooth and there is virtually no popping.

Removed the decel pop and feels like a little performance boost. Plan getting it on the dyno soon to get it dialed in, but so far not all that I expected. Will continue trying different maps until the appointment with the dyno shop.
