Installation was easy but the bracket did not fit my bike as the backrest mounts are 12 1/2" and the bracket is only 10 1/2". I called customer service and he explained that some H-Ds have 12 1/2" mounts and they do not make a bracket to fit. I modified the bracket to fit because I wanted to be able to mount my bags without damaging the paint. Tried them for the first time today and the lock on one of the brackets broke. Now I'm stuck at work with a bag I can't get back on my bike because they used a cheap lock that I can no longer get the key into. The name is perfect, because these are EASY to use. The only thing I found that I do not like is the bolts are a bit long and when mounting them, the hole where the locking mechanism is, is not large enough to get a 9/16 nut driver in to tighten the lock nut. This means you have a long bolt on the inside of the bag. I am going to put some rubber tips on the end of the bolt to protect items inside the bags and my hands from getting scratched. These matched my detachable backrest on my 08 Anniversary Dyna Wide Glide perfect. I used them to install a pair of Drifter slant jumbo bags, awesome. I wish the key could be removed from the lock after unlocking them fror removal. As they are you must leave the key in the lock until you remove them from the bike.
