Easy Brackets are an innovative two (2) point docking system that allows the quick and easy installation and removal of saddlebags. Easy Brackets use two (2) existing bolts holes in the fender rail of the motorcycle. By replacing the existing bolts with the docking posts and longer bolts provided in each kit, the Easy Brackets can then be instantly installed and locked into place.
Because each Easy Bracket is for your motorcycle, you will receive all of the correct hardware with your order. The docking posts and bolts are especially designed to work perfectly with your motorcycle, eliminating the hassles of adding spacing washers to either line up the docking posts or to achieve a good, tight fit.

They are as easy to install as the Cruiser Customizing video suggests. And although a lot of common sense and practicality went into these brackets, for $140 one expects the bolts not to rust within a couple weeks. I used these on the River Road Zip-off X-Large Slant Bags after reinforcing the backing with Lexan (see my review on that product for details) to mount them on my Honda Valkyrie. And I mounted them with the nut on that outside of the bag so the smooth, button cap bolt head was on the inside where my gear will be. Although more difficult to tighten on the bolt by the locking arm, a pair of needle-nose pliers work just fine. I used another reviewer's suggestion and placed a 2x4 on the exhaust pipe and then set the bag on the 2x4 to get the clearance I wanted--worked great. And I used the Cruiser Customizing tip of marking 1 bag, drilling the holes then placing the bags back-to-back against each other and marking the 2nd bag with the first. Worked beautifully and I got a symmet...

I use them with a pair of River Road soft side bags. You might say, "Don't the bags sag"? Well, yes they did. So I built supports that mount to the Easy Brackets and curve under the bags. The 22ga. sheet metal is painted glossy blacka and securely suppports the soft bags as well as makes them stand up when off of the bike. Brackets are great! The instructions state to crank on the bolts on some Valkyrie models to make the threaded end of the bolt push through the backing of the mounted nut on the inside of the fender. I did this, although it felt very wrong, and it worked great. I can't believe this....I'm a guy, and I followed the instructions!!!!

These brackets were a great supplement to the bolt on bags. The install is very straight forward. The hardware is starting to rust after only 6 months. Stainless replacements would be a good idea.
