. Removed the 4 bolts...make sure you have METRIC wrenches....and metric sockets would be better. Got the Saddleman Drifter Jumbos and drilled them, put them on brackets and went on 1300 mile trip. Didn't move once on. A little stiff to get bags off......tight fit but I like it. Not as close to bike as some I've seen, but still great looking. I particularly like to take the bags off and bring inside to clean and put Armorall on.

Great product. Easy install. I had the brackets on the bike in less than 10 minutes, with another 15 to maount the bags to the brackets. I don't like that the lock doesn't fully open because it hits the bag, but I can get over that with the fact that when I don't want bags on the bike, there is no unsightly bracket left to see. Dennsi from Cruiser Customizing noticed I ordered the wrong part number, and caught my mistake, saving a costly ship to canada and back.

Put brackets on 10/4/02 with Saddlemen bags. Instalation was very easy.
