(5 stars) reviewed on 05/19/08 byBill Sheridan (Warrior_MN) from Burnsville, MN, United States, for a 2002 XV17PC-PP 1700 Road Star Warrior wrote: Instructions are easy to follow. Just have both metric and standard allens and wrenches handy. Two of my nylon locks(nuts) were 9/16" and the other 6 were 14mm. Explain that one? Watchin the video made very easy to understand the instructions that come with it. Although the brackets are not very easy to put on at first. I'm hopin this will ease up with use. Takin them off with the bags installed is easier than when I first started out. But they are a "snug" fit....beat with rubber mallet to get them on haha. Used these to mount the Ledrie bags. The printed instructions that come with the kit could use some work. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? (4 stars) reviewed on 08/14/03 byTony (tpajakowski) from Naperville, IL, United States, for a 2001 1700 Road Star Warrior wrote: They were very easy to install and don't take away very much from the look of the bike. The problem is finding bags sturdy enough. I had to make some serious supports for the W&M bags I have. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? (5 stars) reviewed on 07/22/03 byJustn (Justnd) from Norton, MA, United States, for a 2003 1100 V-Star Custom wrote: Fit close to bike, no more "winged" look that the stock brackets have. Easy on and off. I have no problem with rattling as some have. Mounting bolts were too long and had to be cut to keep 'em from damaging the tire. All around an excellent well made product. Using them with Medium bags from Spider Den so the fit and look is perfect for the custom Review Details 2 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
(4 stars) reviewed on 06/26/03 byspudman (spudman) from Washougal, WA, United States, for a 2003 1300 VTX1300R (S) Retro wrote: The only thing wrong with my order was that the rear-most bolts were 150 pitch not 125 pitch bolts. Thank God for the local hardware store.....actually I emailed the distributor and they said that they'd send the correct bolts, although that was 3 weeks ago and I haven't seen anything yet. But don't let the above discourage you from buying this product. It's great. It worked well for me as I usually ride solo and can't deal with throw-over bags.
