I called the rep and they said it replaced the plasma. I installed and I am pleased with the results. A little brighter and a slight blue tint when looking from the side. Plus, I thought it would look a lot more bluish white than it does. When you look at the front of the bike it looks like a slightly brighter stock headlight.
