Put yourself in your lights shoes. Think of all the debris, rocks and other not-so-nice things that are constantly being thrown at you. After hearing of so many cowl lights needlessly being sacrificed, we tried to figure out a way to protect them that didn't look worse than a broken light. After much trial & error (and lots of coffee), here are the results.
Our guards ingeniously mount to the cowl using one simple screw. They are easily removed for periodic cleaning using a Phillips head screwdriver. They mount flush with the edge of the cowl and are almost undetectable.
