I admit I'm no mechanic which may have been half the problem but some help from the manufacturer for model specific turn signal stems would have gone a long way. I finally managed to work them through with some thin gardening wire (it was green wire so its gardening wire)and vaseline. The wiring directions and drawings from the manufacturer were very helpful. Unfortunately, Kawasaki apparently reversed the wiring for the blinkers. What was the ground wire for the tail/brake light turned out the be the hot wires for the blinkers. Two fuses later I got it all working. Would I do it again knowing what I know now. Probably not. Still, overall, I do have more visibility on my rear. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? I'm really happy with their functionality as brake lights, taillights, and turn signals. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

I think the supplied t-tap connectors aren't the greatest fit to the bike wiring, and soldering is a better option. I shortened the supplied long black wiring and put the whole connected bundle under the plastic cover behind the licence plate. I did not cut into the taillight/brake light loom under the fender, instead I used the licence plate lamp wire to connect to the GREEN wire on the supplied run/brake circuit. I then ran a single wire from the the yellow wire (brake light wiring that is inside the sheathed loom under the bike seat) back to the wiring bundle I installed behind the licence plate. Note the instruction sheet at the CC website shows the slip-on LED arrangement ie the led ring shown has a heat resistant rubber grommet to allow the led ring to fit snugly over the installed indicator lamp and I believe that pictured item to be p/no EC-01314, but this kit number EC-01315 supplied here is the one that silicones the LE... Load resistors needed?

Does this kit cause your brake light to flash too?
posted on 03/30/13 by Trey1 (Trey1) from , , wrote: The videos show that when the brake light is activated, it flashes three times and then stays lit for few seconds before repeating. Does this kit enable that functionality? I didn't see how the kit could enable this functionality based on the instructions provided. |
