I took on a tough job, the lights work great at night when it counts. They do leave a little to be desired for day. It was a hard job to get them installed on my 2000 Nomad 1500 cc. I hace to carve out a area to run the wires around my exisitng turn signal lamp cups. I used my rotozip and wood carving tools to accoplish the job. It does help having three running lights and brake lights. I was hoping to see better results on the brightness suring the day , but my expectations were high for thr resulots I saw. I expected better brightness from the LEDs. I may go back to reqular bulbs with three big lights and rewire the whole back of the bike.

best money i've spent on my bike. what a difference! incredible results, even in daylight. took about 3 hours to install, but well worth the time . not to difficult if you can follow a wiring diagram, but definately take your time. still going strong over a year later!

knowing the value of being seen from behind this is a GREAT way to go! took me about 1 1/2 hrs to install. soldered the conections. had a little problem with the wire run thru the tail light bulb housing. found by fishing a thin wire loop in from the back side then pulling the new wire in from the bulb side to the muont side made things a little easier

Good product, a bit time consuming to install but not that hard. Bags and turn signals must come off. Easiest if you remove the wires from the bike. Red running lights work great at dusk and night. Bright daylight will degrade the effect. Electrical Connection out of Knoxville TN are great. I was missing a part in the kit and they replaced it immediatley, no hassle. Their customer service is great. This is the second bike I have used this product on, and would buy it again.

I just drilled small holes in the back corners of the turn signal housings. I just wired everything under the seat, soldered all connections and it works great. Really a cool look and adds to the safety issue

This is one of those accessories that you must have if you're at all serious about safety. It installs in a snap on the 05 Nomad - you can connect up to the rear wiring harness which is accessable by removing the access-panel located behind the tail-light assembly under the rear fender. No need to remove seats or wire clips etc. I would strongly recommend soldering all connections and/or exercising extreme caution if you use the connectors provided by the manufacturer as they can/will sever the wire if improperly installed. Also, it will save you a lot of time if you have a test light available when you do the install. It will help you quickly locate any faulty connections. I would also suggest that you apply a dab of silicone to each of the connections at the LED circuit board AFTER you complete the install and TEST your lights. These connections did not inspire a great deal of confidence (they were relatively loose until I secured them with the silicone). Actually, my...

The product is excellent, including the supplies that come with it. Installing it on a Nomad with the bulb position they have is tough. Got it done, but only with a lot of help from the Vulcan Forum and a friend who knows more about electricity than me. If you have a bike where you can feed the wires directly through the stem of your turn signals, it should be easy. On the Nomad you have to work around the bulb socket. That was tough, and so was removing the socket. Man, it looks and performs great now that its on.

Does what it claims! Increases visibility from the rear immensly. The LEDs are HIGHLY visible especially at night and keeps people off your tail! I added a signal modulator that also pulsates the light. I've had people change lanes to avoid sitting behind me at lights. (The strobe effect is what caused that I think.) The increase in safety from the added visibility is a plus for anyone. I didn't install this unit, but it looked simple enough.

Look and work great. Had to build up inside if turns signal as tapered so took longer to install to allow epoxy to dry and keep building up until LED wouuld be able to sit proper in curved housing.

I've received many positive comments on this product from other bikers and one from a police officer. Combined with the backoff unit no cager should say they don't see you. On the Kaw Nomad you will have to use silicone sealer to build a shelf so that the LED's point straight backward, but it's not hard to do and only requires an overnight curing for everything to be set up and stuck fast. Also I had no way to route the wiring out of the lights so I had to drill a small hole and seal it with black sealer (no big problem) I suggest you trash the connectors provided and solder all connections, then use shrink tubing to cover the joints.
