despite the mixed reviews, I decided to buy and install the turn signal conversion kit. I installed this at the same time i did the turn signal relocation using OEM Honda parts for a sabre, as well as clear lenses from clear alternatives. I am not a newbie to electrical work, and yet this wasn't exactly an easy install. The kit does add some extra lighting, especially for brake lights, but nowhere near as bright during the daytime as I had hoped for. In fact, the LED circuit board ring reduces the amount of amber/yellow light coming from the turn signal housing. If I had to do it again, i probably would have not bought this kit, had purchased red lenses, installed a lamp housing for a 1157 bulb, and installed a run/brake/turn kit instead. UPDATE DEC 2011: I finally removed these from the Aero and replaced them with LEDs from Custom Dynamics and the RTB controller. I wish I had gone this route to begin with, because the LEDs are crazy bright even in direct sunlight. ...

Works great. You will need to allow the silicone to cure overnight before connecting wiring. Before silicone application lightly sand to inside of lense cover, then clean with alcohol.... otherwise you will have problems.

I bought these for my 2006 Honda Shadow Aero. Wasn't fond of the glue of the lights to the lense but they look great. It was a pretty straight forward install and only took me about an hour and a half. Adds alot of light at night but not very much in the daylight. Would recommend it to anyone that wants to make their bike safer at night.

A real bear to install, and really lights up the back end well at night. I was a little disappointed with the daytime view, so added more resistors (x3) to increase brightness of the running lights. Pretty simple design, but the speaker wire was pretty thin and I pinched it once while attaching the grab bar, making it difficult to trouble shoot. Haven't reattached my Back Off unit yet. Other reviews have advised against it since it may be confusing to motorists with too many blinking lights if I am waiting to turn with my brakes on. overall, I'm pretty pleased.

Works very well. Fairly easy install. The "quick connectors" that shipped with the kit weren't very reliable but after replacing those all was working great.

Instalation takes time be patient. Instructions could be simpler and with more detail but they are accurate. Glue the led's to the signal lens the day before the installation and they will hold excellent with the glue that is included.

Installation went flawless but in putting everything back together I pinched one of newly installed circuit. Blew a fuse and wiped 2 diodes in running/brake circuit. Installed a couple of new diodes on the kit ran the cicuit again put it back together more carefully and it works great. Although I spent more time installing it was time well spent. Anyone that needs a schematic diagram (as opose to the block diagram you get) for the kit to troubleshoot or repair the let me know.

Installed with smoke deep dish chrome bezels, turn signal relocation kit. Every job is different and when you make as many changes as I did at once you can only use instructions as a guide. If you are not comfortable with wiring, tools and stripping the rear of you bike down, leave the conversion to a pro. I was comfortable, took my time and was happy with the results. The running lights could be brighter. After running these for a few months I don't think I'd buy them again. One of them has an intermittent problem and some of the LEDs won't light, then at times all are on....

Wow! What can I say? This kit is awsome! I have a 2006 Shadow Aero and wanted more light in the rear. I had to take the bike in to have it installed. Not because it was hard, but the bike was new (didn't want to mess it up) and the turn signals have a rubber compression fitting that made it impossible for me to run the wire. Didn't have a manual yet to figure out how to remove them so it cost me another $98.00. I would do it all again! I did install the LED ring and again, I don't know what other ratings are talking about. Mounting is secure and easy. The LEDs are on to stay unless I decide to remove them (NO WAY I am going to ever do that)! There is SOOOOO much more light in the back and the brakes really light up the ground! This kit does exactly what it says. The running lights are RED. I expected a slightly funky color since it would be shining through amber lenses but it is true red. Exactly as bright as the brake running light while going down the road. Put on the brakes and the ...

The lights look great! It took us 3 hours to put them on my bike. You need to know what wires to use before installtion. the most difficult part was trying to run the wires throught the turn signals housing. The space is very tight. Becareful not to damage any other wires in the housing.

Good accessory that works as expected. Not sure if that silicone really holds the thing in place, we'll see after some miles are put on it. The hardest install I've done yet. More involved than rejeting of the carburetor. It took 3 hours and a numerous head scratches to complete. Figuring out how to get the wires in the turn signal housing was one tough step – but thanks to the other reviews I learned the trick of removing the little brass screws down inside and pulling that plate up, then fishing a ridged piece of wire into the housing and hooking the end to pull the wires through. So you don't have to guess… on my 04 Aero the wires are as such: Brn = Tail, Grn/Ylw = Brake, Orange = Left Signal, Lt Blue = Right Signal.
