The "Custom Aero Man"
Wayne "AERO2000"

A few years ago a buddy of mine used my garage to store his Road King. The trade off was that I would be able to cruise on it once and a while. To his amazement every time he'd come over to visit or pick it up ... it was immaculate and ready for my buddy to "rock and roll". He was impressed with the care and detail that I would put into his bike. Anyway, he would come over with his motorcycle buddy's for a Saturday ride and as they would roar away, I would be standing at the end of my driveway waving and wishing that I were taking part. After a few months of this with my wife having to look at the lost puppy dog look on my face, she finally broke down and said, "Go get a bike for yourself already will ya!" With that, two hours later my garage possessed my very own 2000 Honda Shadow Aero!

Don't get me wrong, I loved the bike stock but it needed some NOISE! So, I debaffled that long Aero pipe making it sound so guttural and deep. Then I joined the Delphi Forum and a lot of guys wanted me do theirs. I bebaffled a few guy's pipes and they were extremely happy. I got great feedback on the Forum. After a few months I started added a piece of chrome here and a piece of chrome there. And before I knew it my bike was getting looks ... even more than my fellow Harley riders. I custom made my own brackets for the Pro-1 floor boards and added Bikini Beach bars and Progressive 11½ rear shocks to get that lowered look along with other chrome goodies. Finally, I had the front "raked" to 40º. Now that she's finished ( I know, it's NEVER really quite finished is it) I entered it in my first bike show at the Toys For Tots Run in Ft. Lauderdale and took 2nd place in my class. I now feel a sense of accomplishment and really enjoy cruising.

I want to thank Dennis and Uwe for building such an awesome web-site for motorcycle enthusiasts as myself. They have put countless hours into this site to make it possible for us to trade pics, sell parts and communicate with others who share the same interests. And they do all this for FREE! However, remember they do accept donations to maintain the site. Thanks again guys and keep up the great work!
