These are functional with heaps of room, which is what I got them for. I've since used them and find them awkward opening outward for me due to having only one arm, should have got bags that opened from the top. Buying some "chubby" Auburn Leather bags and a rack bag to match through ebay. Top loading will be much easier for me.

Got the expandable ones Won't use on the bike all the time - only when going away for the weekend. Nice thing is , they're expandable so the the missus really can take the kitchen sink if she so desires. Makes a nice change from leather. Have now bought Ameritex ones for my current cruiser so these bags have moved to my Dual Sport bike - they are still holding up well after quite a few years of abuse
