Got it as I have the battery tender connector so this is a direct hookup. Do not have to add another connection to the battery.

I have battery tender connectors on all my bikes. With this adapter I can easily plug in my heated gear. Just keep in mind that the battery tender connector has a 7.5 amp fuse. If you plug in the liner and gloves and have them on high heat you might need a bigger fuse. Happened to me when I plugged in the liner, gloves and then the heated chaps
