Firstgear’s 'no one left behind' policy ensures that riders of any model motorcycle can take advantage of the warming effects of heated apparel by choosing between either the 65- or 90-watt versions. Good for low-amperage bikes or passengers not requiring as much heat as the rider, the 65-watt units minimizes the draw on the bike’s charging system.

Efficient warming is dependent upon close proximity to the body. Firstgear reduced the amount of sizes while ensuring a good fit by incorporating stretch panels into the liner’s design. The long-sleeve liner cocoons its wearer in warmth by incorporating heating elements across the upper and lower back, down the sleeves, around the neck and, to combat the effects of windchill, the liner concentrates heat in the front of the jacket.

Absolutely Unbelievable! I am a year round rider and actually like the feeling of a brisk morning ride... or a heavy rain from time to time. That is of course, if I am in the correct gear! For years I have heard of companies offering heated gear, and I had scoffed at the thought. That is until I had the opportunity to test one of these First Gear Warm and Safe heated liner jackets.

My goodness!! No joke, 30 degrees outside the weekend of Street Vibrations 2007 and I was TOASTY! How to describe the magnitude of the warmth... wrapped up in an electric blanket would be about the best description I can offer up. And in one word = Amazing! As stated earlier, I ride most every day of the year... but this year will be the best year yet!

The Jacket liner is well made and the cords are all contained and the connecting ends are very accessible and easy to use. The Power In cord is located in the right side hand warmer pocket and the glove connectors are found in zippered compartments at the end of each sleeve. When not in use, the cords conveniently hide away in the respective compartments.

I am using the single portable heat troller Part Number: FIRST-51-2817. This is the least expensive... but very functional unit. Installation is as simple as connecting the troller to the Positive and negative terminals of the battery. FYI -- Twice now I have left the heat troller on ALL NIGHT LONG... and to my surprise... my bike started the next morning. It seems if the jacket is not connected and drawing power, the troller will not drain the battery. That is good news!

Warm and Safe is the way to ride!

This liner fits great under my armored winter jacket. The high neck line is a great feature. I wish it had a few more heating elements around the lower half of the torso, but overall it works just as well as advertised. Surely makes riding in freezing cold winters a lot more bearable. The wires within the liner are well placed and don't bother me much at all.

Works very well. A little snug for size but comfortable and the heat is great. Would definately stick to the 90 watt opposed to the 65.

This is by far the best accessory I have bought for my bike. There is no way to beat the warmth that this product provides. Paired with the 24" extension cables and the Dual Heat Troller and heated gloves, I can ride in any weather. I love this product and will never ever go without it again! Stop wasting money on warmer liners and thicker clothes and go for the real deal...the heated gear is by far the best way to go!
