I Have ridden over 40,000 miles without plugs, but I have never ridden 1600 miles in 34 hours. So I bought these as recommended in a bike book I just read. We will see in Sept if I need them. Guess I can at least use them in the hotel rooms! Well, I used my I-Pod to avoid boredom and therefore have not used these on the road yet.

Reduces the noise. But i find insertion cumbersome. They come loose from the ear easily.

I love these on long trips. I have strait thru baffles and my pipoes are loud. when combined with the wind noise...after a long trip my ears ring for hours. I started using these about 2 months ago and now I can ride all day with no ear ringing.

These things work great. You can still hear the wind but it does not go right into your ear canal. You twist them until they get really small then when you put it in your ear it will expand to it's original size causing it to hold itself in. A must have if you use a skid lid.

EAR PLUGS. I bought these and drill holes in them to fit my SPARK PLUG style head phones. This way I can block out most all noises and just listen to music while riding.

An absolute must if you want to preserve your hearing. I wear the blue Hearos. I like the little case that comes with them to keep plugs clean. To use roll tip between your thumb and forefinger. Pull gently on the outside of your ear and slip plug into ear canal. The foam expands to make a snug fit in the ear.
