I Have ridden over 40,000 miles without plugs, but I have never ridden 1600 miles in 34 hours. So I bought these as recommended in a bike book I just read. We will see in Sept if I need them. Guess I can at least use them in the hotel rooms! Well, I used my I-Pod to avoid boredom and therefore have not used these on the road yet.

EAR PLUGS. I bought these and drill holes in them to fit my SPARK PLUG style head phones. This way I can block out most all noises and just listen to music while riding.

Earplugs can be rather soothing on long, stretches of road where there are not an overabundance of other vehicles; also, when you get to your destination (sometimes noisy motels), they come in handy there.
