Used an awesome tutorial by ColeenM at http://toleaway.com/install_heated_grips.html She couldn't make installation any easier for us. I haven't had a chance to try em out yet as I'm in the middle of a big mod project on my bike. Quality appears to be there and a lot of reviews state that they work as intended. Everyone can't be wrong.

Installed in a couple hours on my 2003 Kawasaki Mean Streak, just 2 holes to drill and run the wires to the headlight bucket and found a spot in a connector (probally for a light bar) that switchs off with the key.Would have looked nicer if they could attach to my brake resivoir but I'd lose my mirror it still looks ok.They work great only need it set to the second light, takes a little time to warm the bars but no big problem.

These are a great (and IMHO - necessary) addition to a bike for northern riders (Eastern Canada). They are not easy to install, but we documented our installation, see it here: http://toleaway.com/install_heated_grips.html

These things are great! I installed these with a set of ISO grips as well. I wasn't sure if they would heat through, but trust me, they do. I haven't had to run them above #2 yet, even when driving. Mind you, it hasn't been that cold. Installation was a bear, took the better part of the day. I recommend taking your bars off to drill the holes needed to run the wires. It made installation MUCH easier. The only issue I had was that my VTX had bar end weights inside the bars. I had to take those out in order to install the heating elements. I MIGHT have been able to wedge them in there, but I didn't want to wreck the new heaters. All in all, I would highly recommend these.

They work great. Took me about 3 three hours to install. Took my time to avoid making any mistakes. I wish I would have specified the chrome controller, though. I got the black one, and it doesn't look quite as good.

I ride mostly in Alaska an needless to say any kind of heat is welcome. I installed them in about 3 hrs and am aboslutely amazed at the difference they make. The instructions are flawless but it really helps if you a repair manual for your bike to find the best place to hook into the electric system. Mine was a an optional circut in the headlight bucket for a stock lightbar which was never used on the bike. The LED controller looks great and all the wires are internal to the handel bars. The controler maintains the heat perfectly at any setting. I have ordered some Kuryakyn ISO Grips and I hpoe they provide the same warmth as my stock grips. I will let you know how they work out.

Great add with th ISO grips. Don't get too hot but just right. The picture shows it mounted on the Brake reservoir but doesn't work like that on the 08 Vulcan unless you replace the mirrors.

Dedicated heated grips will provide greater heat but if you want to install custom grips - as I did - then Heat Demons are the way to go. They take a while to generate heat through the Kuryakin ISO grips but they will get there eventually and they do produce a nice warm heat - not roast your hands. I installed on the left side, contrary to the instructions - I did not want to have to manipulate the heat controller with my throttle hand. Installation process, other than wiring, is very straightforward and simple. Wiring is, however, complicated and an understanding of auto-electrical wiring diagrams is essential. Overall, the installation took about 4 hours. I installed via a relay. The wiring from the control unit to the relay/battery was routed through the existing loom, inside the plastic sheath, using the "eel" provided. This was fiddly but produces a much cleaner look around the bars. The chrome control unit blends in well with the rest of the gear attached to the bars. I did n...

Installation of these grips was a bit problematic on my Aero because Honda welds a bar end weight into each handlebar to reduce vibration and until those are removed, the heat demons cannot be installed. We were able to get these out and complete the installation. But it would have been nice to know what we were up against in advance, especially because this product is for use with this bike, so someone should have known about the end weights. Once we got those out, the rest of the installation was fairly straight forward. We did up some instructions of our own, with photos, if you'd like to see that info go to http://www.toleaway.com/install_heated_grips.html
