(4 stars) reviewed on 10/18/06 bySOLER (soler) from , , for a 0 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: First, The good news: Lots of storage. Lots of outside pockets. It expands to really hold a lot of stuff! The leather looks nice and is pretty durable. The rain cover is good. It goes on quick and easy and covers the bag well. It also came with lots of straps and buckles to strap this bag to the bike. The bad. The duffel bag won't stay on the top. It keeps slipping down and to the back. There isn't anything to hold it up top. As for the straps, you have to get real creative to strap this bag to the bike. Good thing there are lots of straps! The rain cover flaps a lot, so I keep it off until it is actually raining. It only takes a couple of seconds to slip it on. Review Details 3 out of 3 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

The only problem was some of the stitching has come loose after the first use. I will be fixing, but would buy again for the price. So much room! Don't hesitate. You can pack for two for a week and still have room. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

It's kind of a pain to anchor it on the bike so it doesn't shift around but other than that it's awesome! Review Details 1 out of 1 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Having done lots of backpacking, I was not expecting this nice a PACK as a bike accessory. All this and in black leather. I have used it for a couple of trips, and it does well. Comes with a rain cover, which is adequate. Review Details 1 out of 2 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

The expandable sissy bar bag with four pockets on the sides make it very easy to keep the stuff that you want quick access to easy to get at without having to dig around inside the big bag. The adjustable sleave that goes over the sissy bar easily fits around the Deluxe Hondaline backrest I have. Review Details 1 out of 2 members found this review helpful. (1 stars) reviewed on 06/27/02 byEarl (hook026) from Santa Rosa, CA, United States, for a 2002 Illusion Blue 1800 VTX1800R (Retro) wrote: Totally worthless. Old adage, "you get what you pay for" comes to mind again. After arrival packed it up and straped it to sissy bar for cross country trip and back leaving next day. Didn't hold up. After first day, two plastic buckles broke makiig their straps useless to help secure pack to bike. Tried to secure best I could anyway but loss of these straps eventually led to duffel bag coming loose, several days later, and being dragged behind bike; this led to two holes being worn in duffel bag. Had to resort to using bungee cords to secure entire pack to sissy bar for remainder of trip. When got home returned entire package to JC Whitney and got money back. Incidentally, they told me they have had numerous problems with these plastic buckles breaking or eventually wearing out and not staying buckled and bags returned to them. Does not stand up to long term usage in my opinion. Review Details 23 out of 23 members found this review helpful. Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
