The bulb is not very bright as you might expect, but this piece is about looks, not extra lighting. The install is not overly easy. You'll need to do some wiring, drill into your fender, and have a lot of patience. I actually wired mine into the switch built into my Cobra light bar. I'd highly recommend planning how you're going to run the wiring along the underside of the fender. I came up with a way that will allow the wires move, in case I ever need to change the bulb out. I also added some waterproof bullet connectors in case I need to remove the fender altogether. But planned out properly, this is a great accessory.
