I was a bit disappointed to find out it was chrastic (chromed plastic). For that price I was expecting metal of some sort. Also the fitment wasn't as close as i would have liked it. I'll try shaving some material out the cover in order to close the gap between the stock chrome base and the cover. Update: Shaving the extra material worked perfectly...be smart, you can always take more out, but take too much and the thing will rattle a bit.
