I followed the advice of others and took off the chrome on the inner inner ring and then glued them on. It took longer to clean the chrome off than it did to install them. As everyone else has said, throw away the two-sided tape. I used liquid nail glue to install mine. It appears to be holding just fine so far. Looks pretty sharp to be plastic.
