I purchased this after getting one to small (I'm a BIG BLOCK) and finally got the 2x, which fit very well. Liked all the features, finish, cooling, flip up chin guard, multi position shield.anti fogging works not to bad, However, even at 6okmh (40mph) wind noise was pretty loud. At 80 to 100 kmh (5o to 65 mph) it was intollerable - - - it sounded like I was inside a base drum. The windshield is on my bike also so without it help! Yes, the helmet fit, everything was locked, closed and all the rest.Been through that dance already. When I opened the visor to the second stop with the chin guard locked down, the noise quit, so back it goes. I saw a posting on this site before about this being a noisey helmet and passed it off, but mine sure was. Otherwise it's a good product. Going to contact the vendor re: the problem Paid $380.00 (cdn) for this so it's no small ticket helmet up here. My other helmet is an HJC 1/2 black leather covered mode... This is the compromise for me between convenience/ comfort and safety. Can't stand a full face that wont open like this. More noise than I am used to, but that is only a minor quibble. Good product overall. I got the white one. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |

With only a couple of weeks, I'm very pleased with it. As I wear glasses, this allows me to use a FF. I'll be back with more data after some more miles. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? I have had the NOLAN flip-up for two years now and like it a lot but the HJC is quieter, has a better fitting padding inside, easy opening one button opperation and easy change shield. The only down side is a minor one.. HJC includes a D ring fastener instead of the cool zip type on the NOLAN. PRICE.. NOLAN $340 Cdn. (Y2K) HJC $330 Cdn. I liked the idea of being able to open the front up, and I do so whenever I stop. It is comfortable and I have installed a communications headset to converse with my passanger. (5 stars) reviewed on 07/27/01 bydascon (dascon) from , , for a 750 Shadow ACE Tourer wrote: The one button chinbar release is a great action to have. It works smoothly with one hand. The visor operates just as well and has very good optics even when raised to different positions. The padding is snug and has nice ear pockets for speakers. It even comes with small pads to place into the ear pockets to help reduce wind noise. It also has removable padding. I was a bit concerned that it had more noise then I cared for but, after I installed my Collett Communicator 900+ I realised that the wind noise was not intrusive at all. I purchased it from The Helmet Shop in Daytona, FL but I've seen it listed for $185 somewhere else. Review Details Was this review helpful to you? Yes No |
