The only problems I have had with this backrest are that my brackets for my saddlebags are connected to the same bolts. The chrome bolts were too soft to hold this much force and they broke, letting go of my brackets and backrest. This could have been possibly dangerous with my passenger on the back. :( I realized it when I heard the clang of the bolt falling out. Of course this really isn't the backrest fault, more the fault of the chrome bolt Honda used on the bike. I replaced the bolts with aftermarket bolts and painted them chrome color. I also had trouble with the small bolts on the back of the rest backing out and letting the pad loose. A little locktite fixed that. Reminder, always do precheck for loose parts before you ride.
