    All of the backrest mounting brackets I have seen always mount using the two bolt holes fitted to each side of the fender. Typically these sorts of kits have slightly longer bolts than the stock fitted ones as the extra space required by these brackets needs more bolt length to secure them.
    Note that this item is required for: Tall Chrome Backrest, Low Chrome Backrest and Chrome Rear Carrier (which are additional items)
