As mounting brackets go, it's probably just as easy to install as any other, but it is a bit of a pain. Came on my bike when I purchased it, so it was not my choice of product, but it does what it is meant to. If I were to choose, I would probably have gotten something else. But, without having shopped for myself I cannot say if it is any better than others. It is worth mention that the chrome has not rusted and it is an all-weather bike.
